Following the success of the popular Euro-Pacific Eyecare conference that is held in the Dolomite Mountains of Italy each January I am happy to announce the Pacific Rim Eyecare conference at the spectacular Bariloche-Catedral Mountain ski area.

So may I extend a warm invitation to Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Orthoptists, General Practitioners, Pharmacists, Optical Dispensers and practice administrators [all arms of our eyecare delivery network] to what should be a very enjoyable week.

The venue is the on-snow mountain village that is about 20k from the resort town of Bariloche. Local cheap bus and taxi transfers to Bariloche are readily available for those who either do not ski or want an excursion into the party/shopping mecca that is Bariloche.

The same successful formula that makes the Euro-Pacific conference special will be followed. Lectures will be held between 4pm and 8pm on four of the conference days.

All arms of the eyecare professions are invited to the conference which serves as a melting pot of ideas and exchange of ideaologies between the professions.

I have engaged the people at travelplan to book accommodation and flights for this event. They can also coordinate many exciting post conference trips for those wishing to extend their South American experience.

After you make that decision to go the first important step is to cross out those diaries.

Many post conference holiday options are possible in this amazing part of the world. Personally I have always wanted to visit South America and this conference will be my first trip to the area.
